You’ll not only have the chance to look at the current motorcycle models, but also to test ride them. A lot of action will be brought to you by the show rides performed by the Enduropark Hechlingen.
The Travel Event starts on Friday, June 10th, at noon. The varied programme includes exciting lectures and interesting workshops on subjects such as tyres, travelling and photography, as well as stage shows and guided factory tours. Visitors can look forward to a much more diversified catering with international specialities at various food trucks, the popular Seconds Sale and a chillout zone with campfire atmosphere and background music. Like always, it is free to attend which also includes free camping.
The range of riding activities is wider than ever: Tours, training sessions and ride outs of various difficulty levels are meant to be be an incentive for motorbike riding and travelling. Riders can experience Touratech’s tour guides’ favourite routes or get inside tips for the next Black Forest trip. There will be different tracks for off-road newbies to gain their first experiences beyond tarmac under guidance as well as for experienced enduro riders to improve their skills. All these offers are for free, but the number of participants is limited. Therefore riders are asked to register online at http://travelevent.touratech.de/en.html.
A special treat for offroad fans is the video presentation on Saturday showing how the Touratech converted Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin ridden by Dirk von Zitzewitz, ace rally rider on two and four wheels and 15 times German enduro champion, did at the Hellas Rally in Greece.
The evening presentations held on the main stage will be again special highlights during the Travel Event. On Friday, the well-known photographer, author and certified geographer Michael Martin gives a lecture on his motorcycle trips from 1991 to 2015, specially compiled for Touratech. Michael Martin is Germany’s most successful motorcycle traveller, is a real crowd puller and a guest in many TV shows. With multivision shows like his current project “Planet Desert” (“Planet Wüste”), he fills the biggest halls in Germany.
No less interesting is Dylan Samarawickrama’s multimedia show “At the End of the Street” (“Am Ende der Straße”) on Friday evening. It is an enthralling story of an incredible around-the-world trip.
On Saturday, we’ll remain “global” with Touratech’s project „United People of Adventure“, uniting the whole world in one team. This film documentation on an extraordinary Madagascar expedition with riders from six continents will celebrate its premiere at the Touratech Travel Event. Visitors can meet the riders during the event and get first-hand impressions. Surely, there are going to be enough stories to enjoy while ending the day at the campfire.
